We Live In Singapura!

:D hahaz got intro to this by my fren & it's so funny! by Hossan Leong in Talking Cock In Parliament. Check it out!!!

No longer a freshman!

Today marks the END of my Year 1. It’s so unbelievably fast! Theoretically, I’m no longer a freshman though I still have my exams to deal with. 9 days 5 hours 13 minutes 11 seconds left! As indicated by the countdown clock on my desktop. Time to get to work & focus. Time to get down to some serious studying. I’m still trying to cover lectures; guess can only blame myself now for not managing my time well so that can cover them earlier in the semester. The irritating thing is that I’ve been falling asleep and getting real sleepy or lethargic in the afternoon. Somehow, nothing was accomplished by the end of the day and realized that sometimes work was done more effectively at night, though not at all nights. “_”

Desperate need to focus.
Standing in the centre of the spiral as everything continues to
revolve around me, looking for an exit.
Just leave me out of this whole messsss.

Mid Autumn!

In fact, realised that I haven't truly noticed the moon here in Melbourne. It's just so unbelievably round on mid autumn's night. Even when all the lights were switched off, my room was still pretty bright. When I was really young, before going to hc, can say that I wasn't very excited abt maf though - but definitely excited abt having mooncakes to eat :P Remembered that I used to play with candles and lanterns in the neighbourhood parks esp. those of cartoon characters which can play music! hahaz Anyway there was once, due to the candles, the bushes and trees behind the park suddenly caught fire and 2 fire engines came. Instead of continuing to hang around the park and play with candles or etc, people seemed to gather themselves around the fire engines instead. Come to think of it now, it's rather amusing :P

In hc, j1's maf was more of hectic, busy selling balloons and squeezing through the crowd here & there, juggling to & fro the stall but enojyed myself tremendously though didn't really know what's happening for the performances or manage to join in for all e dance & song sessions :) Of course, in j2, finally could go to maf relaxed and carefree even though I had my A level bio paper on Monday which was only 2 days later :P

Missing all the hc songs & mass dances terribly!!! All the cheers & shouts & even oac cheers too.
"Inner hand outer hand, inner outer hand"
Whoa I can still remember e inner outer hand chant for one of the mass dances! Plus undoubtedly the song "Dang Ni Gu Dan Ni Hui Xiang Qi Xue"...hua chu! oac! 7b!

Missing the times in hc!!! All the people, the fun & laughter, the ups & downs, yi1 hua1 yi1 cao3 yi1 mu4, including class bench & oac bench! Wondering if they're still there & if still e same. Heez guess they won't be the same anymore as there'll surely be additional scribblings and vandalism from the juniors. The school-life is not without hard-core stress from the competition and heavy heavy workload, with all the never-ending tests & flooding of information coupled with high expectations too. I would say that those were definitely the undesirable times but that doesn't matter anymore :) The fun and wild times or times spent simply slacking around or hanging out have masked them totally. I wanna go camping, canoeing, bike hike, pulau ubin, orchard rd!......[endless]......& of coz maf! Which I realised that I'll have to miss it still in the few years to come "."

At least I did light
lanterns and ate mooncakes :D My fav double egg yolk lotus mooncake! hahaz got to try a variety of other flavours too. Amazingly, I didn't expect that there would be so many ihers who actually lighted lanterns or came down to soak in the festive atmosphere on that night in the courtyard. It's kind of unplanned and is not any pre-organised event by the house to celebrate it. Looks like it must have been so for the past yrs :P

2 of the games stalls!
We were given a really good deal: Eeach of us had 4 balls for $5 instead of the usual 3 balls given. If any one of us had 2 of the balls thrown in & not bounced out of the buckets, each of us will get to choose any of the soft toys in the stall. Who knows - guess it's just not our day. 6 of us and none of us accomplish it. Almost all of us had only 1 ball in & yy actually had 2 balls in but the guy said it hit the rim & so wasn't counted! He then offered another deal - each of us to pay $5 each again & if any one of us had 1 ball in, each of us can get any toy.
In the end, we left, didn't dare to trust the guy anymore & wondered if it was worth paying $10 for a big toy.

at the entrance where pretty cows with different paintings were on display

showbags!!! dazzling brands of choc, sweets, beverages, magazines & etc. everywhere. Had such a hard time wondering which one to get -- ended up buying Chupa Chups' (haha coz it has an inflatable chupa chup toy!)

Tthe only ride which we took. It swings up really high & "throws" u down so fast, spinning around at the same time! 'o' haha but still thrilling & made me scream to my heart's content!

living harmoniously :) all of them are sooo cute!

pretty sheep! envious of its nice long white eyelashes :P

piglets! goats! llamas!!!

Left: Whiskey Cat..with really long legs. It's a live one! but looks fake to me at 1st

Body clock

It's way past 2am now. And seriously wondering why I'm still feeling awake. Much more awake than in the morning as I struggled to wake up for classes. The thing is: I've been missing quite a fair bit of breakfast to the extent of sometimes just grabbing a cup of milk and bread with butter or simply eating nothing ~ just randomly grabbing any food that I can find in my room. My hot breakfasts too! Not that they're my fav but it's definitely smthg other than bread. I want the pancakes too :( Suddenly missed eating cereals which I knew I definitely won't at all in the 1st sem as had been eating it almost every day :P hahaz
Body clock had been going haywire. Something is wrong. It had always so automatic in the 1st sem & there'll be this urgency to go down just in time to eat cereals then to walk to uni. Somehow, gradually or maybe because it happened just once, a new time mode is set.
This is bad. I should go to sleep but I may end up just tossing around on my bed. Sleeping time is getting later and later, hrs are getting lesser and lesser but morning classes every day still don't start later. Ahhh Why? Obviously, the world doesn't change because I want it to change.
Night studying & I mean past midnight studying seems more effective. Unbelievable absolute silence ~ NO loud music no distractions no ongoing events as proven for the past nights or rather from the test that had just passed. Maybe it's just the prowess of caffeine. Only 1 cup after dinner & it lasted me till 4am & beyond, resulting in me having difficulty in trying to fall asleep!?! Woke up with a heavy head, drank another cup again..but it only started taking effect a few hrs later, way way too late already.
A habit has kicked in. In fact, think it happened some time ago but was now magnified. To kick or keep it. Experimentation in progress. K back to unfinished business- pbl readings. In the meantime, shall look forward to cereals tmlo! Yes, I'm gonna be able to make it for tmlo..hopefully :P

lost

Feeling lazy to blog which explains my occasional entries.
"o" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...suddenly feel like yelling [in the middle of the night the only place that I can think of is here] :P

anatomy~physiology~pathology. disorganised notes. accommodation woes. floor report?!? Running OUT of time. wkend nights gone.
Sat: Contact S'pore talk cum buffet dinner! ( crossing my fingers hoping that there are local delicacies though :P)
Sun: Once again, AGM is on the night b4 my test ?! but guess this time round it's gonna be a raher crazy session with the o-week auditions going on.

Can't believe that I actually had simply nothing reasonably touched on this whole wk for my test on Mon . Valedictory dinner (for the graduates/seniors in IH) which was the last formal dinner of the year took up the entire night on Thur. Had a throbbing headache after that and somehow felt that it might be due to the heat wave on thur. Plus accummulated fatigue too maybe as what my fren suggested. 35 degrees celsius during spring - the hottest day ever in Melbourne for the mth of October in 10 yrs. Had a good amount of exposure to the heat as I travelled to and fro from the hospital for my clinic. It feels really dry, unlike the humid heat in Spore. Suddenly wonder how it feels like to experience the tropical heat there now after not experiencing it ever since the very beginning of the year ~ or should I say the concern right now is more of the haze instead?

change of plans. differing opinions. consensus. Possible?
Who knows?

gdbye to hols

Finally I've got my internet connection back!!! My account has been cut off for the past 1 plus wk during the hols. Gone is my 1 wk hols - so swift so sudden, without waiting for me to take time to just simply bum around & slack, to watch my dramas or anime or movies!

a brief review of my hols:
On fri after morning's prac & handing in my assign [phew finally!], went to shop at DFO! It's proven: just one afternoon isn't enough to complete the shops. We've again only covered half of them! Looks like it's really necessary to at least arrive there in the late morning :P
From Sat till Tue, it's the road trip to Gippsland! One word: awesome awesome awesome! Magnificent sea views, beaches, mountains, night skies, rivers, wildlife... As the saying goes "Seeing is Believing", the true beauty of nature - breathtaking, untainted and soothing right in front of my eyes. A really nice place for a retreat & escape from reality.
Simply slept in for almost the whole day on Wed and then finally had our previously postponed dessert cum supper at night till past 3am.

MiSSing all the dim sums & sweet desserts!
pan-fried dumplings, dang yuan in red bean soup, siew mai & prawn dumplings, a kind of bai2 guo3 dessert

Spent the whole thur at the Royal Melbourne Show :] A carnival with all the funfair stalls & thrilling rides & etc. which definitely can't be compared with the "Pa Sa Ma Lam" (temporary night markets) in spore =P But the only spoiler was us not managing to get hold of any of the gigantic lovable soft toys from the games stall!!!
Then there was MZ and hao ern's bdae dinners. An "explosive" hotpot dinner (hahaz think that's the spicest restaurant that I've ever went to so far in aus) and italian food at Sofia (scrumptious & definitely value for money!)

Feeling the desperate need to manage my time more effectively. No work done during the hols at all has led to lectures, notes & stuff piling up for me to clear and to catch up. Exam timetable is out & why are they cramming all my papers together consecutively? Looks like now I'll just have to wait for my prac schedule to be out so as to know the date for my last paper. Yes & the "Room RuLe" is now in effect from 1st Oct '06 onwards. Hopefully there'll then be more quality time for...schoolwork *growl*

somehow wishing still in the surrounds of nature and escapades
gone are the frustrations of everyday life
