Commonwealth Games Closing!
yea once again I witnessed another ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Melb! on a Sunday night =) we went straight after finishing dinner and met up with my physio frens who had reserved a nice spot on this elevated sandy platform area where there's a live screen.
the highlight of the ceremony is definitely the fireworks at the finale!!! much better than the one at opening! It was all around us.. from the high-rise buildings, river, sky, Melb Cricket Ground, It's just everywhere around us! gosh I was so surprised. Didn't expect myself to be surrounded with fireworks. wandering whether to look in front or behind or my sides =P guess coz we had a really nice & strategic spot.. right in the middle of everything!
When on our way back, we even saw some people trying to steal the Commonwealth games flags that are still flying high on top of the long poles! I saw one of them pulled the pole out of the soil & ran away with it! With that, the whole craze for flags in that area started. hahaz but the volunteers managed to step in on time to get hold of the few remaining flags.
We walked down to Chilli Padi for supper. they gave us a table on the 2nd storey, looking out into the balcony. exposed to the chills of wind but nice atmosphere & scenery =) they sell mainly malaysian food which to me seems quite similar to food from spore too =P hahaz it's juz all the prata, laksa, nasi lemak & etc. caught the last tram at ard 12.30am & it's back to sch again on the next day~~

barbara suddenly wanted to take photo with the volunteers & pulled me in. they had this light sabre & loudspeaker to give directions for exit. hahaz felt kinda embarassed
~ =S had a weird expression heez trying to contain my laughter ~
then the guys started to take photos with them too!
